Producing Production

Continuing to build upon conversations from the project FACTORY: The Seen and The Unseen. Twomey created PRODUCING PRODUCTION in the Tate Exchange that drew the public into a conversation about how they connect to their everyday ideas of production, labour, value and exchange. The shared making of 12 large fabric banners transformed the space into the place for dialogues around their ideas of Production. 

The hung fabric banners held words colelctively drawn from a year's activity in Tate Exchange around ideas and dialogues of production. Through the shared public labour, words were added to the banners by the public over two days to form a lasting record of their collective understanding of production in 2018.
